Andre Taijon Grice, 27, was arrested this week following a weeks-long investigation into drug dealing in the 100 block of Alton Court in Prince Frederick that was launched in January.

While surveilling the area, officials say that Grice was caught conducting hand-to-hand drug deals leading to search and seizure warrants for his home, vehicle, and person.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, members of the sheriff's office observed Grice driving in the area of Armory Road and Dares Beach in Prince Frederick and he was taken into custody without incident.

When told about the pending search and seizure at his home, Grice advised detectives that the only person in the apartment was a 4-year-old child who was left unattended.

During the search of the home, investigators recovered:

  • Approximately 14.7 grams of suspected cocaine;
  • 6 suspected fentanyl pills;
  • Approximately 50.3 grams of suspected cannabis;
  • Approximately 51 grams of suspected promethazine;
  • Approximately 673.9 grams of suspected psilocybin;
  • $4,332.00 in U.S. currency;
  • A Trailsman 68 .22 caliber revolver;
  • A Glock 43 9mm handgun;
  • A Taurus 9mm handgun;
  • An AMI Jager AR-15 .22 caliber rifle;
  • Numerous 9mm magazines;
  • Numerous rounds of .22 caliber and 9mm ammunition;
  • One Apple iPhone.

Officials made note that the Prince Frederick resident was prohibited from possessing weapons or ammo due to a previous weapons offense. He was charged with child neglect and multiple drug and weapon offenses.

The investigation into Grice is ongoing.
